Numerology – G7 or G8? The unwitting prediction of Christine Lagarde

Christine Lagarde

On January 15th of this year Christine Lagarde gave a speech to the Press Club in Washington. A normal enough event for someone as powerful as the Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), but what wasn’t so ordinary was the strange way she began that speech.

After wishing everybody a belated Happy New Year, she strayed into the territory of the lunar new year before launching into a weird set of references to numerology and what she referred to as the ‘magic number’ 7. By implication, this took her into the occult. Her trip into the magical and mystical did not go unnoticed. Dozens of bloggers, familiar with the dark arts and numerology, started to analyse occult messages they saw her as sending to an elite of occultist investors. So I reckon it’s high time I dug my oar in.

To my ears, her attempt to connect the centenary of the start of WW1 to numerology was simply distasteful. To talk about a terrible war that cost more than 16 million lives in relation to the occult, shows the sociopathic lack of empathy that has become the IMF’s trademark. At least she stopped before saying 16 is 1+6 which also equals the ‘magic’ 7. She certainly made a meal of the rest of it though. It was rather like listening to an old hippy over self-medicating on cough medicine. Madame Lagarde ain’t no comedienne.

Her sensitive nature seemed oblivious to the fact many of her audience had spent last Christmas thinking it might be their last Christmas. What with the Munster quartet of John Kerry, Victoria Nuland, John McCain and Dame Catherine Ashton trying their damnedest to start World War 3 in Russia’s backyard they had good reason to worry. Watching this bunch of loons handing out buns, guns and bundles of cash to gangs of uncontrollable fascist thugs was little short of terrifying.

Given the IMF was dangling the poisoned chalice of one of its famous ‘loans’ of even more bundles of billions before the thugs’ leaders’ eyes, subtlety obviously isn’t Lagarde’s forte. Especially as it was offered on the condition they wrenched power from the democratically-elected government of the time. Unless you count the time she subtlety bailed-out of the supervisory board of ING banking just a couple of years before the shit – she knew was coming – hit the fan. By the time that particular gang of international banksters had to beg the Dutch government for its own whopping $13 billion bailout, she had moved on to wreck France’s economy, as the country’s first female Finance Minister. When the shit hit the fan in France, she had just managed to become top dog at the IMF. Some dame!

Though I’m not superstitious by nature, I posted an edited video of her Press Club introduction at the end of this piece. It contains a prediction that time has proved to be false.

But there is something rather sinister about the head of one the most powerful financial institutions in the world showing an interest in what she herself refers to as the ‘magic’ seven. And there was the much more important giveaway no one seems to have noticed.

In her Press Club speech, Christine Lagarde refers to the G7 meeting planned for 2014, yet does not mention the date. A lot of pundits who seem to have spent a little much too time in the forest during toadstool picking time, have deduced that her numerology was an occult message being sent around the world to give financial wizards the nod. The message was that on July 2oth, the G7 meeting would cast a new spell on the world’s financial system to foil the gods and punish the poor. More or less, anyway.

But the occultists seemed not to have noticed something far more important. At the time of her speech, there wasn’t going to be a G7 on July 20th 2014. However, a G8 meeting was planned to take place in Russia following the success of the Sochi Olympics, which was to include Russia as the eighth member.

Christine Lagarde’s speech at the Press Club took place on 15th of January. Ukraine’s parliament wasn’t seized in a coup d’état until February 22nd. The referendum by Crimea join Russia was taken on March 16th. Russia accepted the results of the vote a few days later. Incredible as it may seem, it wasn’t until March 24th 2014 David Cameron announced Russia’s exclusion from the G8 meeting, giving as a reason the so-called annexation of Crimea. Therefore, as Russia didn’t accept Crimea into its fold until after mid-March, at the time of Christine Lagarde’s speech there wasn’t going to be a G7 meeting on the 20th of July, it was still going to be a G8 meeting on June 4th and 5th. It would seem Dame Lagarde prophesied the change at least two months before it happened, using her numerological genius, no doubt.

Now I don’t believe in numerology or astrology, but I do believe the self-fulfilling prophecies that have been used over countless millennia to control populations.

Whether they be kings, presidents or prime ministers, leaders of nations have often been overcome with feelings of omnipotence that bring them to the stage where they believe they are gods. We don’t have to go back centuries to see this, we can see it in North Korea at this very moment, as well as in the dictatorships of Central Asia, and many other nations. We heard it when the folk in the City of London and Wall Street – who brought us the crisis in a series of well-planned, self-fulfilling prophecies, which involved manipulating world markets on a massive scale – modestly referred to themselves as ‘Masters of the Universe’.

You can call me a killjoy at a dying clown’s birthday party, but there is something particularly sinister about Christine Lagarde’s interest in the number 7. The last London bombings were planned to take place on the 7th of 7th in 2005. MH17 was a Boeing 777 downed on the 17th of the 7th.

She is right about one thing, there is something about the number 7 that fascinates those in power, or who want power over others, and like the charlatans they are, they want us to believe they have the magic powers to get it.

All in all, these strange coincidences are most likely just that. Nevertheless, it raises the hairs on my arms when I hear the Managing Director of one of the most powerful financial institutions in the world talking about numerology.

Prophecy? Slip of the tongue? Or had the US, the EU and the IMF schemed to ditch Russia from the G8 meeting, long before the Ukrainian government was ousted, at a time Crimea couldn’t even imagine it might have to join Russia again, rather than be ruled by a clique of self-elected neo-fascists?

Had the IMF already decided the economic future of Ukraine? Was there a secret plan for the West to get hold of the country’s prize asset: the massive area of fertile land, perfect for grain production, that makes up a good part of the nation and represents its true wealth? Granting loans of up to $18 billion, which will fall straight into the hands of the new kleptocracy in charge of Ukraine, or end up in Western banks, is not going to help the ordinary Ukrainian, nor the country’s long-term economy. With land being sold on the cheap to repay the loans, the average Ukrainian will soon see the huge price tag attached to its government getting into bed with Christine Lagarde. The republic once known as the bread basket of the USSR, has now metamorphosed into Europe’s latest basket case.

Your entire premise is absurd and idiotic. You assume that numerology is somehow superficial, thus indicating you have a very shallow understanding of deeper esoteric knowledge. Only in our illeterate age do the profound fields of astrology and numerology considered somehow “inferior” to sciences or social sciences like economics.

Only an ignorant person would claim so. The powerful people of this world are all versed in the esoteric language of numerology and ancient mystery religions. They have secret knowledge that most blind people can only dream of. No, they’re not charlatans; you’re simply ignorant. Evidence: look at your own pathetic life, and compare to the limitless power and wealth of the elite classes. That’s occult knowledge for you.

Thanks for your input. Please forgive me for being so pathetic and ignorant. I live in the hope that my pathetic life will serve as a valuable lesson for more worthy specimens of humanity like yourself, so you will not follow the same doomed path as I have. Have a lovely day, you deserve it!

For interested readers not in the know, surprisingly enough – though he (she) seems extremely shy in admitting it – there is a link between the assumed name of the poster of the above comment, Moby Dick, and numerology: Moby Dick and numerology.

I didn’t use numerology to work it out, just the huge bundle of pathetic ignorance with which I have been gifted. For more extensive information on Christine Lagarde see Double, double, toil and trouble… the cauldron of Kiev.

you’re a spot-on political anaylyst Bryan especially when it comes to the EU. Number 7 is supposed to be lucky and any bets on which lucky b*gg*r is next to be cast out of the diabolic inner sanctum. G6 anyone?

Good post, Bryan. People that hold high positions of power that actually believe in this kind of rubbish makes me very nervous. BTW, the video link doesn’t seem to work for me….aaaah! spooky! 🙂

Whoops! Error 777 seems to have occurred. Please try again.

Thanks, Wendy, I’ve just linked to it again. I don’t know what happened there.

I feel the same about people in high positions as you do. Whether she believes in numerology or not, I can’t be sure, but for the Managing Director of the IMF to talk about it, the way she does, gives me the heebie-jeebies. I suppose George Bush and Tony Blair used to throw bones.

Ok, watched the video. I think she is just looking for number coincidences to be entertaining and this has been seized upon by the all too keen conspiracy theorists…

That’s the basic conclusion I came to, as I say in the article. Because of the conspiracy theorists obsession with looking for things they can see hidden meanings in anything, when they try hard enough. And also because of that they missed the fact Christine Lagarde seemed to be aware there wasn’t going to be a G8 in June, two months before the events that supposedly brought about Russia’s exclusion had happened.

Given the fact the BRICS summit, originally scheduled for March or April in 2014, was moved to July because of Ukraine, and at which the launching of The New Development Bank – an intended rival to the cartel of the IMF, The World Bank and the petro-dollar – was announced, we can assume the G7 meeting was held right afterwards in order to discuss how the G7 nations should react. The G7 members would have certainly been aware of the BRICS meeting well in advance and probably voted to exclude Russia in secret, on that basis, regarding it as a potential spy with one foot in each camp. Then they set about looking for, or creating an excuse. That is quite understandable.

Nevertheless, it would seem more than a little remiss of someone whose career has been based on numbers, and had been invited to attend the G8 meeting scheduled for June 4-5, to get it wrong while speaking to an assembly of journalists. Let’s not forget all these things are thoroughly checked.

I don’t have a conspiracy theory as such, but then the G7 wasn’t essential for her numerology joke. If it was, she should’ve had the sense to scrap it altogether. I can only imagine it was overlooked because everyone in the know, knew what was on the cards, so they became blind to it. Certainly, all the occultist conspiracy theorists became blind to it, and they went over it with a fine tooth comb.

Sorry for the long reply, but I thought a bit of extra explanation might be needed.

We will never know, Wendy, we will just never know.

That’s a scary possibility. It reminds me of Nancy Reagan and her personal astrologer who determined even his oath of office at an unusual time, just so to concur with the stars. Scary because if these thugs have control over occult forces (assuming that they exist) too, then we’re doubled screwed. There’s more between heaven, etc, but the thought of a lunatic (was that a Freudian slip?) in charge of billions of dollars and WMD dwelling in some self-fulfilling vision of rapture and invisible beings (even if the non-religious kind) frightens me to no end. I also loved what you did with the picture; really great. Thanks Bryan.

Thanks to you Wesley, for the comment and the praise. Things that are happening in Ukraine and Gaza defy all civilized reasoning. At times, it really does seem as though we are being led into a new Dark Age by fools and knaves. Let’s hope a new Age of Enlightenment will quickly follow to take its place.
