Charlie Brooker, creator of the Black Mirror series, is as astonished about this as the rest of us. Art anticipating life or something to that effect. Fascinating about the prison slang too. Will #baeofpigs turn into some kind of #camerongate?

It seems main the political parties in the UK close ranks when it comes to scandals, these days. They’re not allowed to get too far unless they have something with which they can be blackmailed into line, according to one senior former Tory MP.
There are times I have my suspcions about Obama on that score. Though, with his final term coming to an end, he appears to be making more of the right decisions. I wish he would stand up to the military/industrial complex more, but I have the feeling that opportunity was lost a very long time ago. We can’t say Eisenhower didn’t warn us.
